Balikpapan – Zone 9 Head Office (KP) officers, who are members of Pertamina Subholding Upstream Region 3 Kalimantan, initiated the “Pertamina Care Workers” program, raising funds to help flood victims in the Samboja District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (16/09). The fund raising is a manifestation of Zone 9 KP officers’ care for communities affected by flood that occurred three weeks ago, on Friday (03/09).
A total of 80 aid packages in the form of food, including eggs, rice, cooking oil, coffee, sugar, and tea bags, were handed over to the community through Margomulyo Village Head, Amir Lufni, SE. M.Si, and Sungai Seluang Village Secretary, Candra Laila. Amir Lufni & Candra Laila expressed their appreciation for all Pertamina officers who participated in this activity. Separately, Assistant Manager of Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) Zone 9, Iwan Kurniawan, hopes that Pertamina officers’ spirit of sharing and caring can ease the flood victims’ burdens.
In Zone 9 KP, Zone 9 General Manager, Andri Haribowo, expressed his sympathy about the flood and conveyed his support for Pertamina officers’ concern and empathy for flood victims in the vicinity of the company’s operational areas (21/09). Furthermore, Andi reminded all officers and the communities around the company’s operational areas to remain aware of the causes of flooding so that it does not happen again in the future. "I will continue to remind all of us and the surrounding community to be aware of the causes of this flood by implementing healthy living and protecting the environment," he said.
Having its address at Patra Land Balikpapan Residence, East Kalimantan, Zone 9 KP is the head office for oil and gas fields including: PEP Sangasanga, PEP Sangatta, PEP Tanjung and Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS).
