Jakarta – In the spirit of welcoming the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H, PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, hosted a Joint Prayer and Donation event for orphans and the underprivileged. Held simultaneously at the head office in Jakarta and operational areas across Kalimantan on Friday (28/2/2025), the event aimed to foster solidarity and promote a spirit of sharing ahead of the holy month. This year, PHI provided donations to 438 orphans and underprivileged children. The initiative was supported by PHI's Islamic Dakwah Organization, which also leads various social programs throughout Ramadan.
PHI's President and Director, Sunaryanto, highlighted that the event reflects the company's commitment to fostering positive relationships with the communities surrounding its operations. He emphasized that the company's achievements are not solely measured by business success but also by its ability to contribute to society. "With gratitude, I hope this event brings blessings to all. May the spirit of togetherness and sharing continue to inspire us to spread even more kindness in the future," said Anto, as Sunaryanto is affectionately known.
He further noted that the Joint Prayer and Donation event represents the company's ongoing efforts to seek blessings, ensure operational safety, and maintain smooth business processes. "We believe that building and nurturing harmonious relationships with the community is essential to sustaining the company's long-term success," he added.
At the PHI head office in Jakarta, the donation ceremony occurred at the Baitul Hikmah Mosque, Graha Elnusa. A total of 271 orphans received donations distributed through three foundations: Wisma Karya Bakti Orphanage in Depok, West Java, Dzurrotul Quran Orphanage in Tangerang, and Pejuang Jembatan Surga Orphanage. In Zona 8, a similar event was held at the Nurul Hayat Foundation in Balikpapan, where 60 orphans from the Nurul Hayat Foundation and Baitu Majlisina Foundation received school supplies and religious equipment.
In Zona 9, donations were distributed at Muara Jawa and Tabalong. Sixty-two orphans received assistance through the Nurul Islam Muara Jawa Orphanage in Kutai Kartanegara and the Amal Shaleh Orphanage. Meanwhile, in Zona 10, the event was held at Nurul Islah Mosque in Balikpapan and Uswatun Hasanah Orphanage, where 45 orphans received donations and essential food packages.
