Yogyakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) once again achieved recognition in the field of Public Relations at the prestigious MAW Talk Awards (MTA) 2025 by winning the Influential PR Figure award, which was presented to PHI’s Manager of Communication Relations & CID, Dony Indrawan. The MTA 2025 was held in Yogyakarta on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

The MTA is an annual agenda of MAW Talk that has consistently, since 2021, recognized influential figures and institutions in Public Relations, media, and integrity-based leadership. Entering its fifth year, MTA 2025 carried the theme “Transparency for the Nation: Leadership that Inspires Change” and presented nine award categories to 35 individuals and institutions.

Chairman & Founder of MAW Talk, Asmono Wikan, explained that the event, since its inception in 2021, has aimed to support and appreciate innovative and integrity-driven leaders. He emphasized the importance of this effort, noting that the digital era requires transparency across all sectors, especially in public communication. “Leaders who can manage their leadership transparently across various fields deserve to inspire change for a better social life,” he stressed.

The MTA 2025 featured nine award categories, with winners selected based on a two-month desk research of digital media that shortlisted nearly 100 candidates in each category. Final decisions were made through qualitative judging by five communication academics from five prominent universities in Yogyakarta: Prof. Dr. Masduki (Universitas Islam Indonesia), Dr. Rahayu (Universitas Gadjah Mada), Prof. Dr. Adhianty Nurjanah (Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta), Dr. Christina Rochayanti (UPN Veteran Yogyakarta), and Dr. Lukas Ispandriarno (Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta). The judging session took place in Yogyakarta on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Dony Indrawan was named an Influential PR Figure for his contributions and innovations in developing effective communication strategies, strengthening stakeholder relations, and consistently delivering Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that have a real impact on communities. Under his leadership, PHI has won numerous Public Relations and CSR awards at national and global levels, including at the Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA) 2025.

Expressing his gratitude, Dony said, “We are grateful for the recognition as an Influential PR Figure at the MAW Talk Awards 2025. Dony further emphasized that PHI, as an upstream oil and gas company contributing to national energy security, faces increasingly complex challenges that require strong support from stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of its operations. “When PR professionals can deliver the right messages about the Company in the right way to all stakeholders, it will create a shared understanding that supports the sustainability of Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas industry, which is vital to national energy security in line with the government’s Asta Cita vision on energy self-sufficiency,” he added.

He also highlighted PHI’s maximized use of digital technology to manage communications across multiple platforms, from social media and websites to online media, ensuring the Company’s messages are delivered accurately, consistently, and effectively.

Furthermore, Dony stressed the importance of maintaining good communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external. “The key to organizational success lies in the synergy and trust built through open, inclusive, and respectful communication. By maintaining harmonious relationships, we can ensure that every step the Company takes aligns with shared interests, society, and the environment,” he concluded.
