The Smart Branding Award Presentation in the Movement Towards Smart City 2021 from the Directorate General of Informatics Applications, Samuel Abrijani P. to the Regional Secretariat (Sekda)

The CSR Program Fostered by PEP Sangatta Field Won Smart Branding Award from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics

Sangatta – The Kelulut Sangatta Plantation CSR program, which is a program fostered by Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangatta Field, won the Smart Branding Program category in the Movement Towards Smart City 2021 event that was held by the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) on Tuesday (14/12) at the International Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD, Tangerang, which was attended by the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate.

The award presentation was represented by the Directorate General of Informatics Applications, Samuel Abrijani P. to the Regional Secretariat (Sekda) of East Kutai Regency, Irawansyah. Irawansyah announced this award as a matter of pride for the district government and the community. Not to mention, the event was attended by the Community Development Officer PEP Sangatta Field.

"This appreciation by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia implies that, the Pemkab Kutim proved to be consistent in terms of Smart Branding, one of which is to provide support to PT Pertamina EP Sangatta Field through the implementation of its CSR program in providing guidance for kelulut honey farmers, in an effort for other potentials to continue expanding, such as, agricultural sector. tourism, industry, SMEs and other natural resources," he said.

Smart Branding is one of the elements of implementing Smart City launched by the Ministry of Communication and Information, which is also applied by the Government of East Kutai Regency. The implementation of Smart City in East Kutai Regency consists of 6 Quick Wins, namely: Smart Governance, Smart Branding, Smart Living, Smart Economy, Smart Society and Smart Environment. The Smart Branding Award goes through a selection process by the Office of Communication, Informatics, Encoding and Statistics (Diskominfopertik).

On the other hand, Sangatta Field Manager, Hanif Setiawan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all parties involved in this achievement. This momentum is expected to be an encouragement to increase competitiveness in other CSR programs, especially in supporting the implementation of the Smart City Program in Kutim Regency. Hanif mentioned that, "Through the Sangatta Kelulut Plantation Excellence Program, the company aims to continue in making efforts to foster and increase the capacity for kelulut bee farmers, in order to create the welfare of the community in which they aspire.”
