Sangasanga– PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field, together with the Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regency Stunting Task Force and the Sangasanga Community Health Center, held capacity building training for Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) cadres and the Family Assistance Team (TPK) on September 7, 2023.

This activity presented various resource persons such as Sangasanga Health Center Nutrition Experts, Population Control and Family Planning Service Officers, and the District Stunting Task Force. Kukar. They explained how to monitor the growth of toddlers for health workers, the role of parenting in the first 1000 days of life, and recording and reporting TPK through the Elsimil application.

The 115 participants attended the training consisting of midwives, the Family Empowerment and Welfare Team (TP-PKK) cadres, and Village Family Planning (KB) cadres.

PEP Sangasanga Field Senior Manager Sigid Setiawan said that handling stunting requires the collaboration of all stakeholders. "The company strives to continue to support reducing stunting rates, especially in the Sangasanga area, which is the company's operational area," continued Sigid.

"This training is one of PEP Sangasanga Field's efforts to support steps to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the second goal, namely to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture," added Sigid.

Also present at this activity was the Head of Sangasanga Subdistrict, Dachriansyah, who explained the importance of PEP Sangasanga's participation in supporting the government's target of collaboratively reducing stunting rates in his area by 2024 14%.

"My appreciation goes to PEP Sangasanga Field for providing a forum for carrying out this activity. "Hopefully, today's material can be implemented so that the goal of reducing stunting rates in the Sangasanga area can be achieved," he said.

At the end of the event, there was a practice of processing fish into attractive, healthy, and nutritious food for toddlers, presented by the owner of PT Ganiya Bogatama.
