Tabalong, South Kalimantan – PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tanjung Field, in collaboration with Pertamina Tanjung Hospital, held an integrated activity themed “Improving Public Health Services and Quality” in the yard of Pertamina Tanjung Hospital, Tabalong, South Kalimantan, on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The activity is part of the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on increasing the capacity and health services of the community, primarily through an educational and preventive approach.

Pertamina EP Tanjung Field Manager Charlie Parmonangan Nainggolan stated that this activity is part of the Company's commitment to strengthening the community's active role in maintaining environmental and family health. "We believe that efforts to improve the quality of public health must start with education and direct involvement. This collaboration is proof that the Company is present and cares about the surrounding community, both in terms of health, education, and environmental awareness," he said.

In addition to education and health services, this activity also promotes the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) by encouraging participants to take care of the environment, particularly in their daily activities, by reducing plastic waste.

The collaboration between PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tanjung Field and RS Pertamina Tanjung was divided into three different types of activities attended by more than 114 participants. The first activity is a capacity-building training for 45 Posyandu cadres, focusing on the theme "Preventing Stunting and Balanced Nutritional Diet." Second, Basic Life Support (BLS) training was conducted involving student representatives from 10 junior high schools, 2 MTsN, six senior high schools, and five vocational schools in Tanjung City. Each school sends two students as representatives. This training aims to equip participants with the basic skills necessary for providing first aid in medical emergencies or accidents.

The third activity is a free dental check-up service for 23 elementary school students representing their schools. Through this capacity-building program, cadres and students are expected not only to implement the knowledge they have gained but also to act as agents for disseminating useful information to the surrounding community.

The series of activities went smoothly. The participants followed it with high enthusiasm and tried to reap the benefits. "Hopefully, we can implement the knowledge we have received in our respective posyandu," said one of the posyandu cadres, Yulianti. With the spirit of collaboration and sustainability, this activity is expected to inspire other parties to participate in building awareness and quality of life for the community in Tabalong and its surroundings.
