Samarinda – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) held a Mini Soccer Friendly Match with stakeholders in Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, on September 13, 2025. The friendly match, filled with camaraderie, took place at Champione Sport Arena in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
The event brought together participants from the Forest Management Unit (KPHP) Delta Mahakam under the Forestry Agency, Anggana Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopincam), Handil Terusan Village Government, and Kutai Lama Village Government. Each institution sent 15 participants, competing in a trofeo format where all teams faced each other once to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Representing PHSS Management, Arif Budiman, Section Head of Northern Area Operations, said that the friendly match served as a platform to strengthen relationships and foster good collaboration with stakeholders, especially in Anggana. “We believe that maintaining harmony with communities and the environment around our operational areas is vital to sustaining oil and gas production from Kalimantan, which contributes to national energy security,” he said.
Arif added, through sports, the Company hopes to build a positive atmosphere of togetherness. In addition to promote physical health, this activity serves as a means for the Company and stakeholders around the operational area to get to know each other better. Arif also expressed his excitement and appreciation for the full support of stakeholders toward the smooth oil and gas operations of PHSS in the Anggana District area. “We hope this joint sports activity can continue to be carried out sustainably,” he said.
The activity began in the morning with health checks and participant registration, followed by remarks from the leaders of each institution. After that, the matches took place with great enthusiasm and healthy competition, accompanied by a high spirit of sportsmanship in every game.
At the end of the event, the Forkopincam Anggana team won first place, followed by the Kutai Lama Village team in second place, and the UPTD KPHP Delta Mahakam team in third place. The activity not only fostered togetherness but also strengthened relations among stakeholders through the spirit of sportsmanship and collaboration.
Appreciation was expressed by one of the stakeholders, Syahruni, representing the Head of UPTD KPHP Delta Mahakam. He emphasized the importance of this activity as a means of maintaining friendship and health. “Through sports, we can become closer and improve coordination in fieldwork while upholding sportsmanship and the spirit of togetherness,” he said.
Similarly, Anggana Sub-district Secretary, Isnawati, who attended on behalf of Forkopincam, suggested that such activities be held regularly every year. “This activity is very good for strengthening the relationship between stakeholders and the Company, while also fostering togetherness in a positive atmosphere,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Handil Terusan Village, Achmadi, hoped that this activity could serve as a good example of communication between the company and the village community. “Through sports, we can refresh our minds and strengthen brotherhood. Thank you to PHSS for initiating this activity,” he said.
The Head of Kutai Lama Village, Mullidin, viewed this activity as a valuable forum for all parties to maintain friendship. “Through friendship, insya Allah, various problems can be solved together. We hope this activity becomes a regular agenda so that harmonious relations can be continuously maintained,” he emphasized.
The support of all stakeholders is very important for the smooth and sustainable oil and gas operations and production of PHSS, especially from the Nilam Field located in Anggana District. PHSS remains optimistic about continuously strengthening synergy with all stakeholders in the area to support the achievement of national oil and gas production targets, which are essential for national energy security in line with the Indonesian Government’s Asta Cita vision of energy self-sufficiency.
