Strengthening Relationships with National Media, PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Holds BASO IGA PHI Event

Jakarta - The event, held on Friday (14/06), involved members of the Energi and Mining Editor Society (E2S). This year's theme was "Fostering Unity in Public Communication about Energy."

During BASO IGA PHI, the company presented its Q1 2024 performance and introduced PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia's CEO, Sunaryanto, who assumed officially in February 2024. Additionally, the new Sr. Manager Relations PHI, Handri Ramdhani, introduced himself and engaged with the attending media.

In his address, CEO Sunaryanto thanked E2S colleagues for their support in disseminating company information to the public, particularly related to PHI's activities in the upstream oil and gas sector in Kalimantan. He emphasized the media's role as a strategic partner in contributing to business success and the nation's energy supply.

PHI operates in Kalimantan through subsidiaries such as PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM), PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), and PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT), as well as other entities including Pertamina EP Sangatta Field, Sangasanga Field, Tanjung Field, Tarakan Field, and Bunyu Field.

BASO IGA PHI is a regular media engagement platform for discussing upstream oil and gas developments in Kalimantan. In 2023, the program received the Silver Award at the Media Relations Award (MRA) in the Media Special Program category.

During the event, Dony Indrawan, Manager of Communication Relations & CID, highlighted PHI's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2060 through impactful programs aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He underscored PHI's adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles across its business operations, including environmental-friendly practices and corporate governance standards.

PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, a part of Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, manages upstream oil and gas operations in Kalimantan, focusing on ESG principles. In 2023, PHI, in collaboration with SKK Migas, recorded daily oil production of 62.17 thousand barrels and gas production of 710 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).
