Balikpapan– PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) demonstrates its commitment to supporting the development of youth potential in Kalimantan. Through the Sobat Bumi Kalimantan Scholarship Program (BSBK), organized in collaboration with Pertamina Foundation as its implementing partner, PHI provides access to higher education for talented young individuals like Aisyah Noor Andrianie, now an architecture student at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK).

Since August 2024, Aisyah, along with 14 other outstanding youths from Kalimantan, has been selected as a recipient of the BSBK scholarship. Aisyah, a Bugis-born girl from a humble family, has shown extraordinary determination in pursuing her education. Starting with her studies in Building Design at a vocational high school, she became increasingly determined to delve deeper into architecture. Her success in the National Selection Based on Achievements (SNBP) led her to ITK, marking a challenging yet proud journey.

“I was overjoyed to be chosen as a BSBK recipient. This scholarship has fueled my motivation to keep learning and chasing my dreams. I will make the best use of this opportunity to meet my academic needs and enhance my skills. I want to thank Pertamina Hulu Indonesia for this opportunity. I hope this scholarship continues to help more of my peers access better education,” said Aisyah.

The BSBK program is PHI’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in education. Beyond financial support, BSBK opens more expansive opportunities for recipients to grow personally and professionally. For Aisyah, the program is not just about funding but also a driving force to pursue her dream of becoming an architect. Her family’s support, particularly from her two siblings who help finance her education, has been a strong source of motivation.

BSBK benefits extend beyond academics, as recipients will also engage in various environmental conservation initiatives. With full support from its subsidiaries PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM), PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), and PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT), PHI ensures the program is integrated and sustainable.
