Kutai Kartanegara – Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field, which is under the management of Zone 9 Regional 3 Kalimantan, since 2 August 2021 has been regularly carrying out antigen rapid test for its field workers every other week. This is an early detection effort to deal with COVID-19 spread and to complement the strict implementation of 5Ms health protocol (washing hands, wearing masks, keeping the distance, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobility).
Antigen rapid test antigen for workers and partners was carried out in all operational areas of the company, namely: Sangasanga, Anggana and Samboja, in cooperation with Medika Utama Permata Hospital (Pupuk Kaltim Group’s Hospital). Senior Manager of Sangasanga Field, Gondo Irawan, stressed the importance of anticipating COVID-19 spread to ensure that workers and partners are always healthy, both when working and when they return home.“Hopefully antigen rapid test regularly administered to all workers can prevent the spread of this virus in the company’s operational areas,” he said.
PEP Sangasanga is one of Pertamina EP’s (PEP) upstream oil and gas fields in Zone 9 Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan. SKK Migas Integrated Operating System (SOT) data dated 19 August 2021 year-to-date showed that PEP Sangasanga’s crude oil production reached 5,093 BOPD and gas production reached around 3.73 feet cubic per day (mmscfd). In addition to Sangasanga, other upstream oil and gas fields in Zone 9 are PEP Sangatta, PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (East Kalimantan) and PEP Tanjung (South Kalimantan).
