Muara Jawa - PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) held a free mass circumcision at the Muara Jawa Health Center in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. This activity is one of the PHSS Community Development Programs (PPM) in collaboration with the Board of Commissariat Management - Indonesian National Nurses Association (DPK-PPNI) Pesisir Timur.

The mass circumcision activity was attended by 75 students from grades III to VI of SD in the Muara Jawa sub-district, Muara Jawa Muspika, Muara Jawa Health Center, PHSS and DPK-PPNI members. These students are selected based on aspects of age and economic background.

Section Head Southern Area Operation PHSS Aditia Hermanu, who was present at this activity, conveyed the company's commitment to creating added value through targeted social responsibility programs, such as this mass circumcision.

“As a good member of society, the company continues to support efforts to improve community welfare. We are committed to making a good contribution to the communities in the areas where we operate," said Aditya.

DPK-PPNI chairman Afriyanto stated that the activity held by PHSS touched on the community's basic needs, namely access to health facilities. This can be seen from the great enthusiasm of the residents for this program.

Meanwhile, the Muara Jawa sub-district head, represented by Nordiansyah, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the local government to PHSS for carrying out this mass circumcision.

"As we know, the cost of doing circumcision independently is not cheap and not all people can afford it. However, in this activity the company is here to facilitate it," said Nordiansyah.
