Muara Badak– PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) held Tourism Management Training as part of the company's CSR program, namely the Protect Our Coast program at Blue Beach, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan on Sunday (17/09/2023).

This training is in collaboration with Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) Pesona Pangempang by inviting four resource persons for tourism actors, namely Syafruddin Syafruddin Pernyata, Chair of the Tourism Partner Network, Kifyatul Akhyar as Environmental Practitioner, Misman as Environmental Activist in the Economic Sector, and Daeng Lompo as Chair of the Business Association Indonesian Recreation Park.
PHSS Field Manager Ade Diar Suhendar said that Tourism Management Training was given to 14 tourism managers in the Pangempang Coastal Area and increased the capacity of the people of villages with tourism potential in the Muara Badak area to develop directed tourism while maintaining environmental sustainability.
"Hope that this activity can encourage beach managers to increase tourism management capacity, explore environmentally friendly potential, and target markets," said Ade.
According to Ade, the company continues to develop CSR programs that can support economic development and community independence. "We support the development of tourism activities in coastal areas in the Muara Badak area so that it can have a positive impact on society in general," he concluded.

Apart from that, Syafruddin added that the potential natural resources owned by Muara Badak, such as nipah, nibung, coconut, and sugar palm, can become a craft and culinary products that support environmentally friendly tourism activities.
Meanwhile, Misman and Daeng Lompo highlighted the importance of managing and utilizing waste to provide benefits in efforts to develop environmentally friendly tourism areas. Apart from that, both emphasized the importance of solid branding regarding tourist attractions, accessibility, and tourist amenities that can synergize with many stakeholders.
