Kutai Kartanegara - In commemoration of Occupational Safety and Health/Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) Month, PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) partnered with the Indonesian Red Cross/Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Samarinda and the Muara Badak District Government to organize a blood donation drive on February 3, 2025. The event took place at Mooara Café in Gas Alam Badak 1 Village, Muara Badak District, and 103 bags of blood were successfully collected.

The event was officially opened by the Secretary of Muara Badak District, Nurhaeda, and attended by Danramil Capt. Rukito and Deputy Chief of Muara Badak Police, Iptu Lamser. In her remarks, Nurhaeda expressed her appreciation for PHSS’s commitment to public health. “We extend our highest appreciation to PHSS for demonstrating its dedication to public health through this blood donation initiative,” she stated.

Beyond supporting PMI in maintaining an adequate blood supply, Nurhaeda highlighted that the event also raised awareness about the importance of helping others. “I hope this becomes a meaningful act of kindness for all of us,” she added.

Meanwhile, PHSS Field Manager Iva Kurnia Mahardi reaffirmed the company’s commitment to promoting beneficial and sustainable social programs. “This blood donation initiative reflects our corporate social responsibility and is part of our community development efforts, particularly in the health sector. PHSS also implements programs in the economic, education, and environmental sectors,” she explained.

Iva also expressed her gratitude to the Muara Badak District Government and the local community for their active participation. “The collected blood will be distributed to those needing transfusions,” she said.

Head of Communication Relations & CID Zona 9, Elis Fauziyah, emphasized that the success of this initiative was made possible through collaboration with stakeholders. “We also extend our appreciation to the Muara Badak District Government and the community for their support, which enabled us to collect 103 blood bags,” said Elis.

Through this initiative, PHSS hopes to continue contributing to the local community's well-being and strengthening its collaboration with stakeholders in supporting social and health programs.
