Jakarta - Coinciding with the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) with the support of SKK Migas and PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) carried out the first gas flow from the WPN-4 Platform which is part of the Jumelai North Sisi and North Nubi (JSN) Projects on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

The inaugural gas jetting from the WPN-4 Platform marks the start of the addition of jsn project gas production from the NB-403 well by 10 MMscfd. WPN-4 Platform is part of the JSN Project by following the 2018 North Side North Nubi Field POD. The WPN-4 Platform has a design production capacity of up to 45 MMSCFD.
PHM General Manager Krisna said that the inaugural flow of the WPN-4 Platform became a special gift from PHM to the Indonesian nation on the anniversary of independence.

"The first gas production from the WPN-4 Platform will automatically increase PHM gas production and energy supply for Indonesia. We are also carrying out work on the second well, namely the NB-404 well as the Company's strategic step to continue to increase gas production produced by PHM," krisna explained.

Krisna added that the Company continues to invest in exploration and development activities of oil and gas fields to find new resources and increase reserves that are important for national energy security," said Krisna.

"The planned operation of the three platforms of the JSN Project is expected to be able to produce 135 MMSCFD of gas and support oil and gas production from the Mahakam Working Area by 20 percent by 2024," he concluded.
