PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Receives Gold Reward in Polri Security Management System Audit

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) has successfully earned the Gold Reward in the Security Management System (SMP) audit certification conducted by the Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). The SMP Audit Certificate was presented by the Head of the Bhayangkara Samapta Corps, Baharkam Polri, Inspector General of Police Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga, to PHM’s General Manager, Setyo Sapto Edi, at an event held at PLN Headquarters in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on December 23, 2024.

In this SMP audit certification process, 60 companies from the oil and gas and non-oil and gas sectors participated. Out of these, 15 companies passed the audit and were awarded certificates with the Gold designation. Among these 15 companies, PHM ranked second with a score of 93.58 percent.

Setyo Sapto Edi stated that this achievement reflects the company’s consistency in applying health, safety, process safety, security, community, environmental, quality, and asset integrity aspects in managing its upstream oil and gas operations. “This is an extraordinary achievement, and I truly appreciate the cooperation and contributions from all parties,” Setyo expressed. He hopes that this achievement will be maintained in the coming years.

Setyo emphasized that PHM ensures the security of employees, assets, information, and reputation from potential threats through risk analysis, considering human rights principles, known as the Voluntary Principles On Security And Human Rights. “As a company managing national vital objects (obvitnas), PHM believes that a good security management system will support the company’s success in continuing to produce the oil and gas energy required to support national energy resilience and development,” he stated.

Setyo also urged all employees to always uphold health, safety, process safety, environmental, quality, and asset integrity aspects by the values of state-owned enterprises (BUMN), namely AKHLAK (Trustworthy, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative), to achieve the company’s goals. He added that PHM always complies with regulations and implements an operational management system that meets national and international standards per Pertamina’s principles. “The success of receiving this award results from collaboration with all stakeholders in the company’s operational areas. Therefore, we will continue collaborating to protect the company’s assets,” he concluded.
