Balikpapan – PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) succeeded in helping extinguish the Momentum 25001 Motor Boat (KM) by deploying a Fire Fighting boat owned by PHM - KCT 1702 along with three other tugboat ships in the Upper Island Waters area of Macroman Village, Welcome District, Samarinda city (27/09/2022). This assistance was carried out immediately as a form of the Company's commitment to handling prompt and measurable incidents to protect the safety of people, facilities, and the environment.

Deputy Head of Mining Engineering PHM Field Central Processing Unit (CPU), RM.M. Satriokusumo Hadipamenang, stated that the Company has coordinated with several agencies, including the Kesyahbandaran Office and Port Authority (KSOP) of Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency and KSOP of Samarinda City. Provide handling assistance related to the burning incident of the Momentum 25001 Motor Ship (KM), a transit ship owned by PT Pelayaran Cahaya Anak Kasisi. 

"We immediately sent an Emergency Response Team (ERT) to secure the scene and ensure safety and security for workers, partners, and the people in the area," Satrio explained.

According to Satrio, PHM always develops Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies to ensure the safety of workers, operating facilities, the community, and the environment wherever the Company operates.

"We implement the HSSE Golden Rules: Compliance, Intervention, and Care. Every worker must always comply with safety rules, immediately act when they see potential safety risks, show concern for colleagues and other parties who carried out activities, and work to protect their safety," he said.

Satria also added that this aspect of caring for the safety and security of humans and the environment is realized through collaboration with all stakeholders in the carrying out of the handling of this incident.
