Banda Aceh – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) and its subsidiaries took home four awards at the Media Relations Awards (MRA) 2025 organized by the Press Company Association (SPS), the oldest press organization in Indonesia. Out of hundreds of entries, PHI earned four prestigious awards in the categories of Press Gathering, Media Relations, and Press Release on Sustainability at the event, which also marked SPS’s 79th anniversary. The award ceremony took place at Anjong Mon Mata in Banda Aceh on Monday, October 20, 2025.
The MRA is an appreciation event recognizing corporations and institutions that have demonstrated excellence in building relationships with the media. This event underscores the importance of healthy, constructive relations between the media and corporations as a key element in building a positive image and reputation. Carrying the theme “Progressive Press, Advancing Indonesia’s Resources,” SPS Chairman Januar Primadi Ruswita emphasized that harmonious relations between media and corporations not only foster a positive image but also strengthen public trust. He commended the winners for their consistency in maintaining transparency and professionalism in communication.
Manager of Communication Relations & CID PHI, Dony Indrawan, expressed his appreciation for the four awards presented by SPS, which he described as a recognition of the company’s success in implementing effective media relations programs. “These awards motivate us to continue innovating, enhancing transparency, and delivering accurate, open, and valuable communication to the public through quality media relations programs and objective, positive coverage,” Dony said.
He added that PHI remains committed to strengthening its corporate communications and building positive relationships with the media. “We recognize the vital role of the media in sharing credible information about the energy sector, particularly the upstream oil and gas industry. Through constructive collaboration with journalists, we hope the public can better understand PHI’s and Pertamina Group’s efforts and contributions in maintaining national energy security and environmental sustainability for Indonesia’s future,” he added.
Dony also extended his gratitude to the media for serving as a strategic partner in bridging communication between the company and the public. “Through the media, information about PHI, its subsidiaries, and affiliates can reach a wider audience, while we also gain valuable feedback to improve our performance and services continuously,” he said.
