Jakarta– PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) won awards in various categories in the 2023 E2S Proving League event for the CSR programs implemented by the company.

The E2S Proving League is a CSR award event organized by the Energy and Mining Editor Society (E2S) on 22-23 July 2023. This time, it’s titled “Maximizing PROPER Achievements for Increasing ESG Ratings.” A total of 27 companies in the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) sector participated in the assessment event by the jury consisting of CSR experts, oil and gas experts, and media experts. The participants explained their respective CSR programs with their local heroes.

Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Communication, Relations & CID Manager Dony Indrawan explained that in this event, PHI subsidiaries and affiliates from Zones 8, 9, and 10 in Regional 3 Kalimantan participated by promoting superior CSR programs in their working areas.

“Zone 8 through Pertamina Hulu Mahakam won a Platinum Award in the Stakeholders Engagement Category for the Mahakam Pesut Endemic Conservation Program (Comic) - Community Based Ecotourism,” Dony explained.

Meanwhile, Zone 9 received two gold awards each from PT Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field, which won the Gold Award in the Environmental Impact Category for the Black River Sustainable Ecoparian Program, and PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga, which received the Gold Award in the Sustainability Program Category for the Protect Our Coastal Program.

In addition, Zone 10 presented a Platinum Award for the CSR Leadership & Commitment Category for the Kersik / Dersik Tourism Village program fostered by PT Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan Northern Operational Area (DOBU). Zone 10 also received a Gold award for the Creating Shared Value (CSV) Category for the Insan Mapan Gate program from PT Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan Southern Operation Area (DOBS), as well as a Silver Award for the Sustainability Program Category for the Pak ABO Benefit Program, PT Pertamina EP Bunyu Field,

Dony expressed his appreciation at the E2S Proving League event. “The jury has conveyed an important note about sustainability. We believe that collaboration with all stakeholders in carrying out CSR programs will ensure the success and sustainability of the program can support business continuity and environmental sustainability,” added Dony.

The hope is that more and more parties are aware and believe that what is being done in these CSR programs impacts society economically and supports environmental conservation. “This event also encourages us to continue to present other best CSR programs,” he said.

Farah Dewi, Senior Manager Relations of Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, emphasized the company’s commitment to implementing innovative community development or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The chairman of the E2S Proving League jury, Risna Resnawaty, conveyed a note to the company to be careful and considerate in linking CSR programs with the concept of a tourist village. “So, independence arises, especially after the program has been completed and program sustainability can be realized,” he said.
