Nusa Dua, Bali – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) once again achieved national recognition after one of its management members received an award at the 2025 Indonesian In-House Counsel Summit and Awards (IHCSA) 2025. PHI's Manager of Legal Counsel Litigation, Muhammad Reza Rifandi, won the 2025 Indonesian In-House Counsel Elite (IHCE) 2025 award in the Inspiring Leadership category during the event held in Nusa Dua, Bali, on October 2–3, 2025.
Hukumonline organized the IHCSA in collaboration with the Indonesian Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA) and the Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Association (APCCA). This year's event, titled "Agility in Convergence 2026," was attended by more than 400 participants. The discussions focused on the strategic role of in-house counsels in navigating business and regulatory challenges in the era of digital convergence and energy transition.
The IHCSA forum serves as a platform for corporate in-house counsels, law firm leaders, regulators, and national and regional business executives to exchange insights and strengthen professional networks within corporate law. In his keynote speech, the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and Administrative Affairs, Prof. (H.C.) R. Narendra Jatna emphasized that the in-house counsel profession carries a vital responsibility in upholding integrity and public trust through the application of high ethical and professional standards. "This event is expected not only to broaden the perspectives of in-house counsels but also to enhance the reputation of the corporate legal profession at the regional and global levels. As advocates, in-house counsels must uphold three key principles, Code of Practices, Code of Ethics, and Code of Conduct, as the foundation for fostering a sustainable culture of integrity," said Prof. Narendra.
The award received by Muhammad Reza Rifandi represents recognition of his and the Company's contribution in ensuring legal compliance, effectively managing corporate risks, and maintaining good governance. This achievement also reflects PHI's commitment to upholding Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles and promoting a culture of integrity and professionalism throughout the organization.
