Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) held a President Director Town Hall Meeting to discuss the Company's positive performance for the first half of 2025. PHI successfully recorded total production above target, at 58.6 thousand barrels of oil per day and 641.5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. The second quarter 2025 Town Hall Meeting took place in a hybrid format on Thursday, August 14, 2025, and was attended by thousands of employees from all operational areas, both at the head office and in various oil and gas fields in Kalimantan.
PHI President Director Sunaryanto expressed his appreciation to all employees for their dedication and tireless contributions to ensuring the Company's operational success. "This achievement is a tangible result of the synergy, perseverance, and professionalism of the entire team across all operational lines. This performance record also serves as an indicator that we are on the right track," said Anto, Sunaryanto's nickname.
As part of its strategy to increase oil and gas production, PHI-Regional 3 Kalimantan continues to promote the implementation of Secondary/Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technology. As of the second quarter of this year, the EOR program has successfully recorded production of 2,374 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD). This is a very positive achievement and reflects the successful synergy between technology, innovation, and the collaborative spirit of the team in the field.
Meanwhile, PHI President Commissioner Meidawati expressed her appreciation for the achievements of PHI-Regional 3 Kalimantan, which has demonstrated excellent performance, with a significant increase in oil and gas production. "The HSSE aspect must also continue to be a priority, because we work in a high-risk environment. Safety and health are fundamental assets that require the cooperation of all parties," she said. HSSE stands for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment.
During the Town Hall Meeting, Sunaryanto provided the Company's management with an opportunity to present the important and strategic steps implemented in each function to achieve the established targets. Furthermore, employees in attendance had the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the Company's future success opportunities amidst increasing operational challenges.
In his presentation, Sunaryanto also highlighted the Company's commitment to sustainability through its corporate social responsibility programs. By the end of the second quarter, 69 CSR programs had been implemented. These programs reached approximately 1,627 beneficiaries and 95 organizations/institutions, with a tangible impact across various sectors.
From an environmental perspective, the Independent Energy Village (Desa Energi Berdikari/DEB) program has contributed to a reduction in carbon emissions of 557 tons of CO₂ equivalent per year. Economically, community groups assisted by the Company's CSR programs have recorded accumulated profits of Rp299 million, demonstrating inclusive local economic growth. From a social perspective, 20 capacity-building and knowledge-building activities have been implemented, laying a crucial foundation for empowering communities surrounding its operational areas.
During the Town Hall Meeting, PHI launched the Company's new social media accounts on YouTube and Facebook to expand the Company's external communications reach and improve public access to Company information. EKlubs (Energi Kalimantan Klub) was also introduced, an innovative loyalty program that encourages active employee participation in various Company activities and interaction with internal communication products. Every engagement will be rewarded with points that can be redeemed for exclusive merchandise. "We believe that the Company's communication programs and activities will positively impact employee knowledge and engagement if there is a willingness and active participation from all employees. This e-Club serves as a platform to encourage this active participation," explained Dony Indrawan, Manager of Communication Relations & CID PHI.
With a spirit of reflection and appreciation, this Town Hall Meeting reaffirmed the strategic direction of PHI-Regional 3 Kalimantan as an entity that not only excels in operational aspects but also plays an active role in creating sustainable social, economic, and environmental impact.
