Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) held a safety campaign with the theme “TEMAN” (TEgur jika saya tidak aMAN) and HFIF (Hand & Finger Injury Free) for all workers and partners in Regional 3 Kalimantan (28/10). The “TEMAN” campaign aims to establish a culture of sincerity to remind each other and change the culture of being reluctant to reprimand anyone who does unsafe actions or ways of working. Meanwhile, the HFIF campaign was chosen because of the importance of protecting hand and finger safety based on incidents that occurred in the corporate environment.

The series of campaigns started from (16/9) with various activities, such as publications through banners and stickers, socialization in Zona 8, 9, and 10, competitions, workshops, and closed with the “TEMAN” and HFIF Campaign ceremonies. The ceremonial activities were accompanied by a Leadership Panel Discussion event and the announcement of the winners of the competition during the campaign period.

The ceremony was opened online by the President Director of PHI, Chalid Said Salim. The event ceremony was attended by the President Director of PT PDSI, Rio Dasmanto; VP HSSE Subholding Upstream, Heragung Ujitoro; GM Zona 8, Agus Amperianto; Acting GM Zona 9, Darmapala; and GM Zona 10, Raam Krisna; SM HSSE Regional 3, Benjamin Argubie; and teams from the SPS, Lawe-Lawe, Tanjung, and Badak fields.

In his remarks, Chalid appreciated the initiatives related to safety and explained that the safety campaign must continue. “TEMAN has a philosophy of self-awareness to ask colleagues to reprimand or be stopped when doing unsafe acts. Officers and management should continue to increase their concern for the safety of their co-workers around, because safety is a top priority in every company's operation and business activities," explained Chalid.

In line with this, Heragung conveyed the importance of each individual knowing and understanding how to work safely or the 15 Company Life Saving Rules (CLSR).

Safety campaign is a fundamental aspect and must always be implemented. As a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) under the Upstream Subholding, which manages oil and gas assets in Regional 3 Kalimantan, PHI continues to be committed to maintain the “TEMAN” & HFIF culture as an effort to build awareness and sincerity in conserving mutual safety and carrying out safe, effective, efficient oil and gas operations, and generate value for all stakeholders.
