Jakarta– PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) and PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) succeeded in maintaining SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certification in 2023 which is an international standard for Anti-Bribery Management Systems for agencies, companies or organizations from all types and sizes committed to anti-bribery policies and controls.
President Director of PHI John Anis said that the success of PHI and PHM in maintaining ISO 37001:2016 SMAP certification has confirmed the commitment of management and all workers in implementing SMAP within PHI and PHM to support safe, reliable, environmentally friendly and compliant businesses and operations against all applicable regulations.
“Great appreciation to all Regional Officers 3 in Kalimantan who have supported the implementation of the SMAP and are expected to make continuous improvements in accordance with the application of the ESG principles (Environment, Social and Governance) and the AKHLAK values,” said John Anis.
A series of audit processes have been carried out to maintain this certification, including the Internal Audit process by the PHI Executive Audit Function from April to June 2023; and the External Audit by Certification Body PT Tuv Nord Indonesia from 31 July to 04 August 2023.
Based on the assessment from the Auditor Team of PT Tuv Nord Indonesia, PHI and PHM are considered to have been effective in implementing SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System, especially in the aspect of Management commitment, the commitment of the Anti-Bribery Compliance Function Team (FKAP) and the commitment of all PHI and PHM employees in implementing SMAP.
Furthermore, the audit results found no records of major or minor non-conformity, and the Auditor Team only provided several inputs for increasing the implementation of SMAP through Opportunity For Improvement (OFI).
Sr Manager Relations Farah Dewi said that PHI and PHM continue to be committed to implementing SNI ISO 37001: 2016 SMAP in all business processes at PHI and PHM.
“The SMAP policy, in particular the 4 NO’s principles are applied consistently to all employees, namely No Bribery (avoid/reject all forms of bribery and extortion); No Kickback (avoid/refuse asking for commissions, tokens of gratitude in the form of money and others); No Gift (avoid/reject accepting/giving gifts or gratuities that are contrary to applicable regulations); and No Luxurious Hospitality (avoid/refuse excessive receptions and banquets),” said Farah Dewi.
This SMAP is designed to assist organizations and companies in establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving anti-bribery programs.
