Yogyakarta – PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field conducted a comparative study of the Setaria Fostered Partner Group and the Sangasanga District Government to Yogyakarta to encourage agro-tourism development plans in the Sangasanga area, East Kalimantan. The comparative study was carried out by visiting the location of Gebosari Chrysanthemum Agrotourism, Kulon Progo Regency, and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Fostered Partners, Rewulu Fuel Terminal, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta (4-6/7/2022).

PEP Sangasanga Senior Manager Gondo Irawan said that the development of agrotourism in the Sangasanga area is a common idea between the Company and local communities in responding to existing environmental and social challenges.

"The initiation has been carried out through the CSR program of Tani Terpadu Sistem Inovasi Sosial Kelompok Setaria or "TANTE SISKA" as a way to pursue these ideals. We collaborate with all stakeholders, especially the community and local governments in carrying out the company's CSR programs so that they can create benefits and values that are enjoyed together or create shared values," said Gondo.

Gondo believes that this comparative study will be able to encourage the development of insights and knowledge of the Company's fostered groups with the experiences learned and delivered by the group that has been more advanced in developing this tourism.

Sangasanga Sub-District, Head Dachriansyah, expressed his support for the Company's plan to encourage the development of agro-tourism in Sangasanga District. "In the future, we hope that the Tani Setaria Group will be able to spread its wings to integrate its various activities to be packaged into the leading agrotourism of Sangasanga District," said Dachriansyah.
Meanwhile, Suharso as the chairman of the Seruni Menoreh Association, an active group in managing Gebosari Chrysanthemum Agrotourism, said that Gerbosari chrysanthemum agrotourism was built as an alternative to natural tourism for visitors as well as a forum for groups in the Samigaluh District area to synergize to develop the agricultural-based tourism sector. "The key in developing agrotourism is the quality of qualified Human Resources so that the development of agro-tourism can run well," he said.

According to him, in addition to human resources, building agrotourism requires support from all parties in the scope of agro-tourism development areas including companies, foster groups, government officials, and local communities.

In addition to the Gerbosari Chrysanthemum Agrotourism, the comparative study was continued with a visit to PT Pertamina Patra Niaga's fostered partner, Rewulu Fuel Terminal, starting with the Husada Teak herbal medicine production house. There, the team learned the process of making traditional Javanese herbal medicine, starting from the preparation of materials, manufacture, packaging, to product displays.

Then, the team continued to The Wisata Berdaya Village (Deswitadaya) Gamol which is located in Gamol Hamlet, Balecatur Village, Gamping District, Yogyakarta. Deswitadaya Gamol was formed to develop agricultural and tourism potential to be integrated. The team visited a group of Peranakan Etawa (PE) goat breeders and an oyster mushroom baglog production house.
