Prioritizing the Use of Domestic Products, PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Wins Subroto Award 2025

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) once again achieved national recognition at the Subroto Award 2025, the highest accolade presented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources/Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) for players in the national energy industry. This year, PHM won in the Domestic Product Utilization category for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities among Production Sharing Contract Contractors/Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi pada Kontraktor Kontrak Kerja Sama (KKKS). The award trophy was presented directly by Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Yuliot Tanjung, at the ceremony held in Jakarta on Friday (October 24, 2025).

PHM General Manager, Setyo Sapto Edi, who personally received the award, expressed his appreciation for the recognition given by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for PHM’s commitment to implementing a transparent and sustainable Domestic Component Level/Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (TKDN) process, as part of efforts to strengthen the national industrial value chain. “This award is a form of appreciation from the nation for PHM as an industry player that not only focuses on oil and gas production but also actively contributes to developing local capacity and independence,” he said. He dedicated the award to all PHM employees and business partners who continuously innovate and work with a strong spirit of nationalism.

Setyo emphasized that the use of domestic products is not merely a regulatory obligation but an integral part of the Company’s sustainability strategy that supports national self-reliance. “For us, collaboration with domestic industries and local partners encourages improvements in quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of Indonesian-made products and services so that they can meet high standards in upstream oil and gas operations,” Setyo added.

With this achievement, PHM continues to strengthen its position as a key contributor to national energy, prioritizing sustainability in all operational aspects. “We believe that through synergy and the Proudly Made in Indonesia spirit, the upstream oil and gas sector can be a driving force for a competitive and sustainable national economy,” Setyo affirmed.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, expressed high appreciation to all companies in the energy sector for their contributions to achieving national targets. All efforts made, he said, are aligned with the government’s Asta Cita vision to realize sustainable national energy resilience and independence. “Oil and gas production and lifting have reached the 2025 state budget targets. I extend my highest appreciation to all KKKS for these achievements, which align with government regulations and policies while promoting sustainable energy,” said Bahlil.
