Samarinda– PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), through its subsidiaries operating in Zona 9, including PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS), PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field, and PEP Sangatta Field, continues to enhance collaboration with local governments through Stakeholder Meetings. During the event, the company presented its operational performance achievements in 2024 and its 2025 drilling plans in the Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) region. This synergy with local governments supports the smooth execution of upstream oil and gas operations, contributing to meeting national energy needs and ensuring energy security.
The Stakeholder Meeting was attended by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Kutai Kartanegara, sub-district heads from various Kukar districts, and representatives from the Kalimantan-Sulawesi office of SKK Migas. The meeting took place in Samarinda on December 17, 2024.
PHSS Field Manager Iva Kurnia Mahardi stated that Zona 9’s operational and production performance showed a positive trend toward achieving production targets based on the Company’s Work Plan and Budget (RKAP) and the Work Program and Budget (WP&B). “In striving to meet production targets, we continuously innovate and apply engineering practices to enhance the recovery rate of the wells under our management,” she said.
Iva added that this positive trend is undoubtedly a result of strong collaboration with the local government. “We extend our deepest gratitude to the Kutai Kartanegara government for their support. We hope this support continues into 2025 and beyond, ensuring the company’s contributions to the region and the national economy remain strong.”
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Kutai Kartanegara, Sunggono, expressed his appreciation and welcomed Zona 9’s plans. He encouraged the company to coordinate with stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, environmentally friendly, and regulation-compliant upstream oil and gas operations. “We believe that a harmonious relationship with the community and local government will positively impact the company’s operational and business sustainability,” said Sunggono. He also noted that the company’s success in implementing Community Empowerment Programs results from cooperation among all societal elements and layers.
During the meeting, opportunities for collaboration between the company and the local government were discussed to support smooth operations and contributions to surrounding communities.
