Balikpapan, 20 January 2021- As one of the company's social responsibility commitment, PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) and PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) are helping eartquake victims in Majene and Mamuju, West Sulawesi and flood victims in South Kalimantan. 

The assistance were given in the form of staple food and mom and baby needs that were distributed on 20 January 2021 through West Sulawesi and South Kalimantan Disaster Victim Relief event coordinated by East Kalimantan Police's Vital Object Security Directorate. 

East Kalimantan Police Vital Object Security Director, Sr. Comr. Pri Hartono Eling Lelakom , S.I.K. expressed his appreciation and gratitude for PHM and PHKT's participation in the disaster relief event. “We continue to advise companies under the directorate's coordination to care for disaster victims, and hope that the assistance can lighten the victim's burden” he said.

PHM Service Security Operation Head Siswoko and PHKT Relations Interim Manager Mufti Fahmi attended the aid distribution ceremony. PHM and PHKT appreciated the East Kalimantan Police's Vital Object Security Directorate in coordinating the distribution for victims of disasters in West Sulawesi and South Kalimantan. "PHKT really cares for the victims of disasters around us and in Indonesia. We hope that the situation will improve for their residences, economy and health and the area to go back to normal" Mufti said. 

"At PHKT, we continue to give support and care for those affected by the disaster. Other than staple food, we are currently raising donations from our workers through the "MATCHING FUND" program where the company contributed with the same amount of funds raised by the workers," Mufti said. 

PHM and PHKT are the subsidiaries of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia that manage Mahakam and  East Kalimantan & Attaka in East Kalimantan oil and gas work area. Both companies also continue to conduct various corporate social responsibility programs to support the development and independence of communities around the companies' operation areas.
