PHM, Elnusa, and PTGI Consortium Supports Improving Safety Performance, Service, and Efficiency of Mud Logging Service Contracts in the Mahakam Work Area

Balikpapan– The Mud Logging Service contract consortium involving PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM), PT Elnusa, and PT Geoprolog Intiwijaya (PTGI) has succeeded in improving safety performance, service and cost efficiency in drilling activities in the Mahakam Working Area (WK).
This collaboration, in the form of a Consortium Agreement, takes the form of PTGI's support for developing the competency of PT Elnusa personnel and maintaining the quality of service stipulated in the contract.

PHM General Manager Setyo Sapto Edi explained that through this consortium contract, PT Elnusa, as one of Pertamina's subsidiaries, is expected to be able to run Mud Logging services independently in the swamp and offshore areas in the future.

"With good collaboration in implementing this consortium, PHM is confident that PT Elnusa can independently manage the mud logging operations or service business with a high level of service quality and HSSE performance in Indonesia, especially within Pertamina," explained Edi.

According to Edi, as long as this Consortium Agreement was running, HSSE performance was achieved in the form of zero LTI (Lost Time Injury) and TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate), which reached more than 66 thousand operating hours and more than 217 thousand safe working hours. "We have also completed more than 200 wells with 100% service efficiency and 99.9% operating efficiency at an excellent level," said Edi.

Furthermore, Edi explained that PHM continues to invest in looking for new energy resources and additional oil and gas reserves through exploration and exploitation activities in oil and gas working areas, both onshore and offshore, in the Mahakam WK.

"In the following year, we will continue this Consortium Agreement model to maximize the use of domestic goods or services"Mud Logging Service at PHM," he concluded.
General Manager of Oilfield Services Pujiady Ananda Pratama expressed his appreciation to PHM for the opportunity that has been given so that the Mud Logging Service with this consortium scheme can be carried out with PTGI.

"Elnusa can gain offshore experience, which is needed to increase the Mud Logging service market, especially in offshore areas. "With this consortium, Elnusa will also receive technology transfer from PTGI so that in the future, it can carry out this service independently in PHM and other Pertamina SHU work areas," he said.
