Sanga Sanga – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), with its subsidiaries and affiliates in Zona 9, actively shared kindness with those in need throughout the company’s operational areas during Ramadan, especially with orphans. This annual initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to positively impacting the community and the environment.
During a visit on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, PHI President Director Sunaryanto and management team members visited workers at the PEP Sanga Sanga Field and had the opportunity to deliver donations to the Miftahul Jannah Foundation in Sanga Sanga. The company donated IDR 30,000,000 and 10 copies of the Quran, benefiting 128 orphans. “This holy month of Ramadan provides us with more opportunities to do good and earn abundant rewards,” said Sunaryanto.
Sunaryanto told the workers that Ramadan is a good time to strengthen harmonious togetherness. "I appreciate the families who have allowed you to work remotely in Sanga Sanga. I'm sure you all miss them," he said.
Meanwhile, Zona 9 General Manager Julfrinson Alfredo Sinaga continued the chain of kindness through the company’s Ramadan Safari, which began in Muara Badak on March 12, 2025. On this occasion, the company provided donations of IDR 20,000,000 and 10 Qurans, which were distributed to three orphanages and benefitted 48 orphans.
The Ramadan Safari continued in Sangatta Field on March 14, 2025, where the company provided assistance to six orphanages and 44 orphans, donating IDR 20,000,000 and 10 Qurans. The visit then continued to Tanjung Field on March 18, 2025, where the company donated to 73 orphans, totaling IDR 20,000,000 and 10 Qurans.
The Ramadan Safari concluded at the Zona 9 office in Balikpapan on March 20, 2025. This final event was attended by employees and their families, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. During this event, the company extended donations to 52 orphans of IDR 20,000,000 and 14 copies of the Quran. “The spirit of kindness we foster during Ramadan should carry on into our daily lives in the months ahead—not just in this moment,” said Julfrinson.
