Pertamina Zone 10 Regional Kalimantan Wins Several 2021 Nusantara CSR Awards

Jakarta - Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) and Pertamina EP (PEP) Tarakan and Bunyu Fields, which are part of Pertamina's Zone 10 Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan, won the 2021 Nusantara CSR Awards (NCSRA) whose theme was “ Freedom from Covid through Collaboration.” The award ceremony was held online and offline   by The La Tofi School of Corporate Social Responsibility on September 15, 2021, at Ramayana Terrace Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.

PHKT won the Community Economic Empowerment category through its  program of “Manis Kampung Kopi Luwak: Implementation of the Biogreening Value Chain and Kapak Prabu in Prangat Baru Village”;  the Tourism Village Development category through “Strategy and Succesful Aspects of Local Community Empowerment Program in the Management of Kersik Tourism Village”program; and the Community Involvement in Waste Management category through “Black Soldier Fly Cultivation (Bulatih) Group Support as an Effort to Realize the Zero Waste Program in Penajam Sub-Ditrict Penajam Paser Utara Regency” program.

Meanwhile, Pertamina EP Tarakan Field won the awards for Community Economic Empowerment category through “Kampung Enam Covid-19 Response: Staying Powerful Amid the Pandemic” program, and for Disabled Individuals Empowerment category through “Empowerment of People with Disabilities through Batik Crafts”.

A number of awards were also given to Pertamina EP Bunyu Field, particularly in Community Economic Empowerment category for its “Realizing Economic Empowerment through Broiler Chicken Farming ” program, and in Health Quality Improvement category through “Used Plastic Drums Innovation to Achieve Complete Sanitation of Bunyu” program.

The Senior Manager Relations of Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), Farah Dewi, explained in a separate occasion that these achievements are proof that Pertamina Zone 10 pays great attention to the needs of its stakeholders, in terms of environment, health, education, economy, and infrastructure. “In this time of Covid-19 pandemic, we realize that collaboration is the key to survival, and good cooperation with stakeholders has positive impacts on the community around the company’s work area,” said Farah.

Pertamina Zone 10 continues to be committed to participate in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are:
Goal 1, ending poverty in all its forms everywhere; Goal 3, ensuring healthy lives and promoting the well-being of all people of all ages; Goal 6, ensuring the sustainable availability and management of clear water and sanitation facilities; Goal 8, developing inclusive and sustainable economic growth; Goal 12, ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns; Goal 13, addressing climate change and its impacts; and Goal 17, partnership to achieve goals.
