Jakarta– Subholding Upstream Pertamina has just appointed John Eusebius Iwan Anis, who is fondly called John Anis, as President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) Regional 3 Kalimantan, on Monday, 22 May 2023. John Anis replaces Chalid Said Salim, who led PHI from 13 June 2020 to 21 May 2023.

John Anis previously served as President and Director of PT Pertamina Internasional EP (PIEP) and General Manager of PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM), one of PHI's subsidiaries.

On the occasion of the Townhall Meeting, which all PHI workers attended, John Anis expressed his gratitude for the mandate given to him as the Main Director of PHI. They thanked Chalid Said Salim, who had previously led and laid a good foundation for PHI Regional 3 Kalimantan. John Anis also stressed the importance of safety for the company's operations and business continuity.

"There is no production without safety; that safety is an investment, not just a cost incurred by the company. Therefore, safety is the main factor that must always be in mind or "mindset" of all workers and is continuously implemented," said John Anis.

Furthermore, John Anis conveyed his commitment to carry out and achieve the company's targets by always prioritizing HSSE aspects in all of the company's oil and gas operations and business activities.

"To achieve all the company's targets that have been set, I am committed to running oil and gas operations that are safe, reliable, environmentally friendly, and comply with all applicable regulations by the application of ESG principles (Environment, Social, and Governance)," said John Anis.

Meanwhile, Chalid Said Salim expressed his welcome and believed that under the leadership of John Anis, who also had experience leading PHM, PHI-Regional 3 would be even more advanced.

"I would also like to thank all management and workers in Regional 3 Kalimantan for the support that has been given so far so that the Company's growth and good performance can be achieved," concluded Chalid.
