Lawe-Lawe – PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) held “Vaksinasi Gotong Royong” (VGR/Joint Vaccination) for workers in Zone 10, i.e. in Lawe-Lawe Terminal, Thursday (08/12). This shows the commitment of Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional Kalimantan’s management to provide COVID-19 vaccination to workers in all its operational areas.

225 workers working in Lawe-Lawe Terminal and Penajam Shore Base received COVID-19 vaccination. Almost all participants lived in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, around PHKT operational area to be specific. Previously, PHKT had held VGR in another operational area, i.e. in Somber on 5 August 2021. The program is planned to keep going on until September in Santan Terminal.

Representing PHKT management, Superintendent of Lawe-Lawe Terminal, Bagus Wibatsu Wahyuntoro expressed gratitude towards Penajam Paser Utara Regency’s Public Health Office and Regional Government who supported the vaccination program. “We hope that all workers and partners, who are also residents of Penajam Paser Utara Regency, develop more immunity towards COVID-19 so that they have less risk of exposure. Hopefully this program contributes to the effort of stopping COVID-19 spread and helps Penajam Paser Utara Regency to quickly become green zone again,” said Bagus.

In her speech, Head of Penajam Paser Utara’s Public Health Office, dr Jansje Grace Makisurat, expressed her appreciation of good cooperation between her Office and PHKT in handling COVID-19 in Penajam Paser Utara. “We also hope that all employees and partners participate in this vaccination program, which will help Penajam Paser Utara Regency in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases,” she said.
