Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Won as the Most Popular Corporation in the Appreciation of 76 Years of the Press Company Union

Jakarta - PT Pertamina Hulu (PHI) Indonesia won the 76th Anniversary Appreciation of the Union of Press Companies as the Most Popular Corporation in the Mainstream Media 2022 in the category of SOE Subsidiaries, which was announced on the eve of appreciation for the commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of SPS in Pekanbaru, Riau, on July 6, 2022.

The appreciation night marked the closing of the celebration of the 76th anniversary of the Union of Press Companies (SPS) which was opened with a National Dialogue entitled "Collaboration Towards The Revival of the Indonesian Economy". Appreciation is given to the stakeholders of the press company for their contribution to caring for the media ecosystem.

When opening the session of the SPS 76th Anniversary National Dialogue, the Chairman of the Central SPS Daily, Januar P. Ruswita, explained that with collaboration, the media industry will be healthy and sustainable. "The media industry, through quality and responsible journalism and information products, can be a strategic partner for stakeholders in accelerating Indonesia's economic revival," said Januar. The importance of the collaboration of press companies with their stakeholders was also initiated by the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, Bambang Soesatyo, the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir, and the Deputy Chairman of the DPD RI, Sultan B. Najamudin. The three of them were present virtually at the opening of the national dialogue.

PHI's Manager of Communication Relations & CID, Dony Indrawan expressed his joy at PHI's acceptance of this appreciation as a form of success of the Company's external and media communication programs as well as collaboration between the Company and the media in conveying information, messages, and education to the public about the Company and the upstream oil and gas industry.

"We believe that the success of the Company's upstream oil and gas operations and business can only be achieved if supported by all stakeholders. As one of the main stakeholders, the media is an important partner in supporting the Company's communication so that the wider community can receive the Company's information and messages effectively, quickly, and accurately," said Dony.

Dony added that PHI collaborates with all stakeholders, including the media, in carrying out the company's CSR programs to be able to create benefits and values that can be enjoyed together. A series of activities to support media people continue to be carried out even during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a form of PHI's concern for press activists who are on the frontline in covering news even during the COVID-19 pandemic, PHI and its subsidiaries have distributed basic food assistance to media personnel in several regions in East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan.

Several friendship activities with the media also continue to be carried out, wherein 2021 PHI has held a meeting with online media in the Kalimantan region entitled "Baso Iga PHI" (Bicara Asyik soal Migas ala PHI). Media is one of PHI's strategic partners to provide support and input on our operations in Kalimantan. This is what encourages us to always establish synergy with press and media colleagues in Kalimantan," concluded Dony.

Last July, PHI also carried out a series of activities in the form of media socialization and education, visits to media offices, and futsal friendly matches held with SKK Migas Representatives of Kalimantan and Sulawesi which were also attended by the Governor of North Kalimantan Zainal Arifin Paliwang (21-22/07). It is hoped that this friendship can improve good relations with all media people, especially in North Kalimantan.
