Jakarta - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tanjung Field won the 2022 Subroto Award for Energy Efficiency (PSBE) Sub-Category of Special Innovation in Energy Management, carrying a proposal entitled Energy Reduction, Emission Reduction and Improving the Performance of Oil Production Wells with Sediment Collection Equipment in Tanjung Field (5/10/2022). 

The event was attended by The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Mines and Energy for the period 1978 - 1988 Professor Dr. Subroto, Secretary General of Energy and Mineral Resources Rida Mulyana, Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Dadan Kusdiana, and other high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In this assessment, the Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Dadan Kusdiana, explained that PSBE is the highest award given by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources since 2012 to building managers, industries, and government agencies have successfully implemented energy efficiency and conservation.

Tanjung Field Manager Sigid Setiawan also expressed his appreciation to the CIP Reducer team and all parties involved for the achievements achieved and explained that this innovation is a form of support for Pertamina Subholding Upstream in applying Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) principles in every activity of the company oil and gas operations and business to be able to produce sustainable energy for Indonesia.

"This award is the highest level in energy efficiency innovation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This is a form of the company's efforts to encourage innovation and technological applications that can improve the safety, reliability, and excellence of the oil and gas operations company," said Sigid. 

This Tanjung PEP innovation comes from one of the CIP Expert clusters in 2018 that obtained a simple patent in 2021 that has the benefit of innovation as a sediment collection tool in oil production wells. In addition to improving the run life of SRP (Sucker Rod Pump) wells. Moreover, this innovation can reduce well-maintenance activities so that costs become more efficient, energy efficiency, emission reduction, and B3 waste.

The name of the Subroto Award was inspired by the dedication of Prof. Dr. Subroto as the Minister of Mines and Energy for the 1978-1988 period, and in 2022. The award ceremony was held in the framework of the 77th Anniversary of Mining and Energy.
