Sangatta – Pertamina EP Sangatta Field received a 2021 Smart City Award certificate from the East Kutai Regent in the Stakeholder Gathering activity at Sangkima Jungle Park, Kutai National Park, Wednesday (19/01/22). The event was attended by the Regent of East Kutai, the Head of the Kutai National Park Office, the Muspika of Sangatta District, and other East Kutai Regency Work Units (SKPD) under Covid-19 health protocol.

East Kutai Regency won the Smart Branding Award through Kebun Kelulut CSR Program, which was supported and organized by PEP Sangatta Field, in the event of Towards Smart City 2021 held by the Ministry of Communication and Information last December. On this occasion, the Regent of East Kutai Drs. H. Ardiyansyah Sulaiman M.Si TTL, also inaugurated the reopening of Sangkima Jungle Park, The Wonder Of Giant Ironwood Trew, which was followed by tree planting in commemoration of the One Million Trees Movement 2022.

Ardiansyah expressed his appreciation to the Company and assessed that Sangatta’s community has received many benefits through Pertamina EP Field Sangatta's CSR program. He hopes that this spirit of synergy can be maintained. Likewise, various parties can help each other if any problems occurred within local community.

During the joyous event, Sangatta Field also made a donation for Darush Sholah Islamic Boarding School renovation, which was handed over to the South Sangatta Sub-District Head, Vita Nurhasanah.

As part of the event, Head of the Kutai National Park (KNP), Persada Agussetia Sitepu inaugurated the reopening of Sangkima Jungle Park. Persada asked Pertamina EP Sangatta Field and the local community to conserve KNP forest, which is known as protected forest area. The high conservation forest is one of the focuses in implementing the SDGs in the environmental field, which are known as: protecting, restoring, supporting the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, and preventing the loss of biodiversity.

Spirited Stakeholder Gathering Event was full of enthusiast. The event was closed with satisfied hospitality and interesting games provided by the committee to the invited participants who attended the event.

Pertamina EP Sangatta Field is part of the Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan Zone 9. Sangatta Field continues to synergize with the East Kutai Regency Government in the context of developing and empowering communities to support the achievement of SDGs in the East Kutai area. Sangatta Field will maintain to make breakthroughs in the 4 pillars of CSR, namely: economy, environment, health and education.
