Sangasanga – Pertamina EP Sangasanga, which is part of Subholding Upstream Pertamina Regional 3 Zona 9, received appreciation from the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan H. Hadi Mulyadi, S.Si., M.Si, for achieving the Gold predicate in the PROPER program organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) RI which was given on December 28, 2021.

Appreciation was conveyed by the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan during a gathering on Friday (31/12) at the Deputy Governor's residence that was attended by Acting GM Zone 9 and Pertamina Regional 3 Zona 9 management, and local heroes and community representatives who were involved in achieving the gold PROPER.

According to Hadi, the achievement of the Gold PROPER is a good performance indicator of Pertamina EP Field Sangasanga in terms of environmental management. Hadi also hopes that this achievement can serve as an example for other companies and become a spur for Pertamina to perform better and continue to provide benefits to the surrounding community.

Andre Wijanarko, as Acting GM of Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Zona 9, expressed the Company's commitment to carry out safe, effective, efficient, and compliant oil and gas operations and support environmental conservation and community empowerment through community development programs. "We believe that our oil and gas operations must be able to provide values to all stakeholders so that the company and the surrounding community can contribute to each other to grow together," said Andre.

Meanwhile, the Senior Manager of Sangasanga Field, Gondo Irawan conveyed that the philosophy of Social Innovation in the Sangasanga Field has always focused on local wisdom, namely "Bakayuh Baimbai, Waja Sampai Kaputing", which means "Struggle Together, Enthusiasm Until the End". "This means that the struggles and achievements of PROPER Gold are joint work, this is what we will continue to prioritize in collaborating," he said.

Gondo admits that the effort to arrive at this achievement was not easy. "During 2012-2020, Pertamina EP Sangasanga has received the Green Proper predicate as a form of performance that has exceeded the compliance aspect. To achieve this gold PROPER, all employees at Sangasanga continue to develop social innovation as a shared responsibility, not just the responsibility of the Relations function. We will also implement a more innovative strategy in maintaining the gold PROPER in the Sangasanga Field in the coming years,” added Gondo.

In carrying out oil and gas operations in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, Pertamina EP Field Sangasanga also carries out various social innovation programs to continue to support community development so that they are independent, including the Tante Siska Program (Integrated Farmer Social Innovation System for Setaria Group) in agriculture, Mampu Berkilau Program in the field of MSMEs, and Prokesmas Puja in the health sector. The development of social innovation programs is carried out in a synergistic manner by involving local governments and fostered partner communities.
