Kutai Kartanegara - Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field (PEP Sangasanga) held a gathering with the ranks of the Government of Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regency at Bukit Bangkirai Tourism Park, Friday (21/1) as a step to strengthen the company's synergy with stakeholders in the operational area, especially the regional government.

This gathering was attended by the Regent of Kukar, Edi Damansyah and the Deputy Regent, H. Rendi Solihin and his staffs which are the Assistant for Economics and Development, Head of the Tourism Office, Head of the Human Resources Development and Personnel Agency, Head of Samboja Subdistrict, Head of Loa Janan Subdistrict, Head of  Loa Kulu Subdistrict, Plt. Head of Bappeda and Head of Prokom.

In this gathering, the Regent and the ranks of the Government of Kukar Regency simultaneously carried out a direct review of the field conditions in order to arrange a long-term plan of district government that in line with the stipulation of the "Nusantara" State Capital (IKN), some part of which is located in Kukar. In addition to discussing the long-term plan of the "Nusantara" IKN, Edi Damansyah also conveyed the 2021-2026 Kukar Idaman Design which was specified in the Regional Regulation (Perda) number 6, year 2021. In this design, one of the objectives was to set an environmentally friendly development goal by planting a million trees, in line with Mr. Edi’s eagerness to build synergy with the company.

The Senior Manager of PEP Sangasanga, Gondo Irawan, accepted the idea of ​​planting trees. According to Gondo, throughout 2021, the company has planted 1,800 trees which are spread across Sanga-Sanga Subdistrict and Anggana Subdistrict in order to continue the tree planting program to Samboja Subdistrict and Muara Java Subdistrict.

Gondo stated that, "PEP Sangasanga has won PROPER Gold in 2021 as a form of the company's commitment in protecting the environment with the help and support from the Kukar Regency Government and all other stakeholders.” Gondo expect for prolong contribution and support from the Kukar Regency Government related with the project plans to increase operational activities and lifting oil and gas, one of which is from Samboja District, as well as the Gold PROPER target for 2022.
