Kutai Kartanegara - Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field (PEP Sangasanga) paid a visit to the Commander of the Military Resort Command 091/Aji Surya Natakesuma, at Makorem 091/ASN Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Thursday (13/1). The meeting was intended to strengthen good relations and synergy between PEP Sangasanga and Korem 091/ASN, particularly for securing PEP Sangasanga’s operational activities and assets which are vital national objects.

PEP Sangasanga Senior Manager, Gondo Irawan, had submitted a 2021 activity and security report, and also a 2022 work plan that requires support from Korem 091/Aji Surya Natakesuma. Gondo also explained that the implementation of operational activities and safeguarding the company's assets require coordination and cooperation from various parties. Gondo stated that, "PEP Sangasanga, which is located within local community, requires good security cooperation with all stakeholders, so that oil and gas operations can run smoothly, effectively and safely while ensuring the company's assets are well protected.”

Meanwhile, Danrem 091/ASN, Brigadier General Cahyo Suryo Putro, S.I.P. M.Si, said that Korem 091/ASN will constantly support the operational activities of PEP Sangasanga. Cahyo mentioned that, "In carrying out safekeeping, we will always try to notice potential problems, as well as develop proactive strategies in anticipating and solving problems.”

Pertamina EP Sangasanga Field, is part of Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional 3 Kalimantan Zone 9. PEP Sangasanga Field has a working area of ​​128 km² which are divided into three operational areas: Sangasanga, Anggana and Samboja. SKK Migas Integrated Operating System (SOT) data date on January 18, 2022 year-to-date had shown that, PEP Sangasanga’s crude oil production is 4462,125 BOPD, whereas gas production is around 2,2258 MMSCFD.
