Bunyu- Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field managed to maintain Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) from 2017 to 2023 for more than 20 million Safe Working Hours (JKS). PEP Bunyu was conveyed in the Commemoration of the National K3 Month with the theme "Realizing Generative HSSE Culture and Superior Asset Integrity Management to Support Pertamina's Business Sustainability".

Workers and stakeholders in Bunyu District attended this series of activities, with several competitions, including the PETROL (Pertamina Well Control) competition, Intervention Campaign Video (Rig) competition, K3 quiz competition, and first aid skills improvement and first aid competition. ) and firefighting, as well as Fire Fighter Combat, as a basis for testing the stamina and agility of the firefighting team. 

The activity was attended by all PEP Bunyu Field functions and related stakeholders, including the Government of East Bunyu Village, West Bunyu Village Government, South Bunyu Village Government, Bunyu District RAPI (Indonesian Inter-Inhabitation Radio) organization, High School/K and MA students of Bunyu Island, and Karang Taruna of each village on Bunyu Island.

In commemoration of OHS Month, training and competitions were held to provide insight to the people of Bunyu about first aid procedures for accident victims (13-19/02/2023).

PEP Field Manager Bunyu Andry explained that the OHS month commemoration is a moment to remember the importance of safety at work and the realization of a decent job with an OHS culture to support business continuity.

"This training plays an important role in providing insight to the people of Bunyu about first aid for accident victims, and hopes that the people of Bunyu can increase awareness in occupational health and safety," said Andry.

According to Andry, knowledge of first aid for accident victims is very important, primarily related to the Golden Period of handling victims, which lasts 6-8 minutes after an incident occurs and can reduce the risk to these victims.

South Bunyu Village government representative Rezky Wahyuni said that the training activities added to the community's insight, especially about handling fires in the Bunyu area. "With material that is easy to digest with good practice procedures, making this activity a beneficial experience," said Rezky.
