Balikpapan – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) again held the 2022 Continous Improvement Program (CIP) Forum with the theme Empowering Innovation Culture To Strengthen Excellent Performance Towards World Class Company - Encouraging a Culture of Innovation to Strengthen Superior Performance Towards a World-Class Company on October 11-13, 2022.
The CIP Forum is a place for presentation and appreciation for officers (a term for Pertamina workers) who have contributed to creating innovations that have succeeded in supporting the achievement of the Company's superior performance in line with the Company's Vision to become a world-class oil and gas company.
This year, the CIP Forum featured 53 clusters selected from 150 innovation minutes delivered by workers from the head office and all zones under the Kalimantan Regional 3 Upstream Subholding organization. A total of 8 groups came from PHI Headquarters, 20 Zone 8 clusters, 15 Zone 9 clusters, and 10 Zone 10 clusters. At the end of the event, the jury announced that 47 groups received the Gold predicate, six groups received Silver, and 15 Excellent Clusters will represent PHI in the Upstream Innovation & Improvement Award (UIIA) 2022 (13/10/2022).
President Director of PHI, Chalid Said Salim, conveyed the management's commitment to supporting the innovation, improvement, and solution efforts proposed and carried out by all company workers. Chalid believes that the increasingly complex challenges of upstream oil and gas operations and businesses with mature oil and gas field conditions require strategic and tactical measures so that oil and gas operations can run safely, effectively, efficiently, obediently, environmentally friendly, and sustainable.
"I am very proud and grateful for the outstanding efforts of the Quality Officers who have worked hard to build, compile, realize, and implement various innovations for the progress of the company. This forum is a forum for sharing success stories from the successful implementation of various innovations so that these innovations become jointly owned that can provide added value for the company and all stakeholders." Chalid said.
VP of Human Capital of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), Linda Delina, said that the CIP Forum is one of the pillars of quality management run by the company. "This forum is expected to form a mindset to continue to collaborate and explore various initiatives, changes, and innovations in the operational and business aspects of the company." Said Linda.
At the end of the CIP Forum event, PHI President Director Chalid Said Salim invited all officers to continue to apply innovations that have been proven and tested, to be replicated throughout the Pertamina environment to provide wider benefits.
