Bunyu Island– JOB Pertamina Medco E&P Simenggaris (JOB Simenggaris) successfully carried out the first condensate shipment from the South Sembakung Field through synergy with Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field (20/10/2023).

The synergy of JOB Simenggaris and PEP Bunyu Field is an implementation of a borderless strategy in Zona 10 Subholding Upstream Regional 3 organization led by PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), so they have working areas that are close to each other.

Zona 10 General Manager, Avep Disasmita, explained that this condensate shipping activity will support the achievement of oil and gas production and optimize costs through cooperation and synergy in utilizing oil and gas assets or facilities in Zone 10.

"Condensate originating from the South Sembakung Field in the Simenggaris Working Area (WK), North Kalimantan, will be sent via the PEP Bunyu Field Terminal so that JOB Simenggaris and PEP Bunyu Field can carry out joint lifting when the condensate shipped by PT Kilang Pertamina International (KPI)," said Avep.

According to Avep, the company continues to take advantage of synergy opportunities between subsidiaries through a borderless strategy to optimize the management of oil and gas working areas to produce significant value for all stakeholders.

Avep added that previously, JOB Simenggaris had carried out start-up and gas on stream for gas buyer PT Kayan LNG Nusantara on February 25, 2023, and successfully built and operated the first mini LNG refinery in Indonesia. "JOB Simenggaris has succeeded in producing LNG from Simenggaris gas since August 5, 2023," he added.
