Fun Walk 2026 by PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga Welcomed Enthusiastically by Thousands of Residents of Muara Jawa and Samboja

Muara Jawa – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) held a community fun walk titled “Bersatu Melangkah, Menguatkan Energi” in its operational area at Sudirman Field, Muara Jawa, Kutai Kartanegara, on Sunday, 15 February 2026. Around 6,000 participants from the Muara Jawa and Samboja communities enthusiastically joined the event.

The fun walk, organized by the Southern Area Operation (SAO) PHSS, began with a flag-off at 07:00 WITA. In his remarks, SAO PHSS Section Head Agus Irawan stated that the activity was not only focused on exercising together but also on strengthening positive relations between the Company, the local government, and the community. “At PHSS, we believe that harmonious relationships with communities and the environment around the Company’s operational areas in Kalimantan will support the sustainability of the Company’s oil and gas production, which is important for national energy availability and resilience,” he explained.

The fun walk covered approximately 3 kilometers, starting at Sudirman Field, passing Ahmad Yani Street, Jami Abul Alley, and Delima Street, and finishing at Sudirman Field. Thousands of residents of all ages crowded the venue from early morning. The event featured various attractive door prizes, with a motorcycle as the grand prize. The prize draw further enlivened the atmosphere and became a joyful closing moment for all participants.

Meanwhile, Muara Jawa Sub-district Head Muhammad Ramli expressed his appreciation for the event. “The participants’ enthusiasm shows the importance of this activity as a form of togetherness that benefits the people of Muara Jawa and Samboja,” he said. He also encouraged all participants to maintain their health and cleanliness throughout the event.

PHSS Field Manager Widhiarto Imam Subarkah reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to continuously building collaboration with the community and to supporting greater community self-reliance through programs in health, education, the economy, and the environment. The Imam also emphasized the importance of all stakeholders in maintaining the sustainability of upstream oil and gas operations. “We invite the community to jointly safeguard the upstream oil and gas operations managed by PHSS as a national vital object that plays a strategic role in supporting national energy availability and resilience for Indonesia’s development,” he stressed.

Imam added that the collaboration established between the Company, the government, and the community is an essential foundation for maintaining operational sustainability and strengthening contributions to national energy resilience. This commitment aligns with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia’s Asta Cita vision to realize inclusive, sustainable, and competitive development, where the energy sector plays a strategic role as a key driver of national progress.
