Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) organized a social program titled “PHSS Berbagi" (PHSS Sharing) by assisting in several places of worship and orphanages in Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. This initiative reflects the company's commitment to the local community surrounding its operational area and expresses gratitude for exceeding its oil and gas production targets at the beginning of 2025.

The assistance was distributed to six mosques/prayer rooms, two churches, and two orphanages on Friday (02/14/2025) and Saturday (02/15/2025) last week to support their technical and operational needs. A representative from Jabal Nur Mosque in Tanjung Limau Village, Nurul Huda, expressed gratitude for the support from PHSS. "The management and congregation sincerely thank PHSS for sharing with the places of worship around its operational area in Muara Badak. This assistance is a great help to us," said Nurul.

Pastor Enos shared a sentiment similar to that of GKP Church in Gas Alam Village. He expressed deep appreciation and prayed for PHSS's continued production growth, allowing the company to keep benefiting the local community. "We at GKP Church in Gas Alam Village pray that PHSS's production continues to increase every year and that social programs like this will keep positively impacting the surrounding community," he said.

Head of Neighborhood Unit 16 in Tanjung Limau Village, Habil L, added that the Muara Badak community supports PHSS's operations in their area. He emphasized that the recipients greatly appreciate the assistance provided, and it serves as tangible evidence of the company's care for the local community.

Meanwhile, PHSS Field Manager Widhiarto Imam Subarkah highlighted that a harmonious relationship between the company and the community is essential for the sustainability of the company's operations. "We believe that maintaining harmonious relations with the community in our operational area supports the success and continuity of our operations," said Imam. According to him, the community's ongoing support has been instrumental in ensuring smooth and successful oil and gas production.

Through the PHSS Berbagi initiative, the company aims to strengthen its positive relationship with the community and deliver tangible benefits to the surrounding area. This initiative is expected to foster closer collaboration between the company and the community in the Muara Badak District, creating positive and sustainable social impacts.

PHSS began 2025 with solid performance, achieving oil and gas production above target. In January 2025, PHSS's oil production reached 14,000 barrels per day (bopd), surpassing the target of 11,937 bopd. Meanwhile, gas production reached 92.55 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd), exceeding the target of 83.032 mmscfd.
