Muara Badak – PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) organized a rigger training and certification program for the youth of Tanjung Limau Village, Muara Badak, Kutai Kartanegara, on October 23–24. The program aimed to enhance the competitiveness of local human resources (HR) in the job market and encourage entrepreneurship. PHSS collaborated with the Tanjung Limau Village Government to execute this initiative.
The training featured examiners from the Center for Human Resource Development in Oil and Gas (PPSDM MIGAS) Cepu, who provided comprehensive training materials and conducted the certification tests. On the first day, participants were introduced to rigging techniques and the operation of boom trucks. Certification tests followed on the second day, with PHSS also providing a boom truck for practical learning.
The program was attended by ten young participants from Tanjung Limau Village. One of the participants, Andi Noval, expressed gratitude to PHSS for organizing the event. "I hope programs like this continue to enhance the skills of local human resources," he said.
Rahman, a representative of the Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD) of Tanjung Limau Village, shared similar sentiments, emphasizing the significant impact the training had on the skills and confidence of the local youth.
Iva Kurnia Mahardi, PHSS Field Manager, underscored the company's commitment to supporting communities surrounding its operational areas through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community development initiatives. "PHSS continuously strives to implement CSR programs that address the needs of local communities," Iva stated.
She also commended the collaboration with the Tanjung Limau Village Government, which supported the program from planning to implementation. "We believe the success of the company's CSR programs stems from collaboration with all stakeholders, particularly in this case, the Tanjung Limau Village Government," she added.
Through this training and certification, PHSS aims to make a tangible contribution to enhancing local youth skills and employment opportunities. This initiative reflects PHSS's commitment to corporate social responsibility while fostering positive synergy with the surrounding community.
Dony Indrawan, Manager of Communication Relations & CID at PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), reiterated the company's dedication to developing local youth capacity as a key element of societal progress. Dony highlighted that the training program is one of the company's CSR initiatives in human resource development. "Our support for local HR development ranges from providing educational facilities and training for teachers and students to scholarships for higher education for outstanding students from underprivileged families, such as the Sobat Bumi Kalimantan Scholarship Program," he added.
