Muara Badak – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), through its subsidiaries and affiliates under Pertamina Subholding Upstream Zona 9, organized a sports competition event titled Collaboration Sport held on May 27-28 and June 6-7, 2024. Participants were workers from PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tanjung Field, PEP Sangatta Field, PEP Sangasanga Field, and PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS). This year, PHSS hosted the event with the theme "Zona 9 Energy for the Nation."

In his speech, the General Manager of Zona 9, Andre Wijanarko, expressed his hope that all participants would always uphold sportsmanship, safety, and health. "This activity is part of the 2024 AKHLAK Culture Program of Zone 9 and a form of implementing AKHLAK values in the workers' lives this sports competition, I invite all workers to remain focused on the main purpose of this activity, which is to strengthen the bonds among Zona 9 workers," he said.

According to Andre, the Collaboration Sport event fosters camaraderie and simultaneously a health management program to improve workers' health. "We believe that the level of health affects the productivity and performance of both the workers and the Company," he said. Andre reiterated that the Company prioritizes safety and health as the most important aspects and the main foundation of all operational and business activities.

The eight sports branches contested were basketball, volleyball, tennis, e-sports, badminton, table tennis, futsal, and archery. Participants reached 800 workers representing each field and the Head Office of Zone 9. PHSS achieved the title of Overall Champion in this year's Collaboration Sports event.
