Balikpapan – Amid the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday, workers of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, continue carrying out their duties in producing oil and gas from various fields across Kalimantan. This reflects the commitment and contribution of upstream oil and gas workers in safeguarding the nation’s energy supply.
During this year’s Eid al-Fitr period, more than 3,700 workers remained on duty across PHI Regional 3 Kalimantan’s operational facilities, both onshore and offshore. They continue working to ensure that all operational and production activities run safely and reliably in accordance with applicable operational standards.
For upstream oil and gas workers in the field, celebrating Eid far from their families is never easy. However, the spirit of dedication to maintaining the national energy supply serves as a strong motivation for them to continue performing their duties responsibly.
PHI President Director Sunaryanto expressed appreciation to all workers who remain on duty during this year’s Eid holiday. According to him, the dedication of field workers is key to maintaining operational continuity and production performance, supporting the community's energy availability.
Various production facilities under PHI Regional 3 Kalimantan continue operating amid the Eid atmosphere, which is often associated with family gatherings. Sunaryanto, familiarly known as Anto, reminded workers to remain focused while consistently applying the best safety practices in the upstream oil and gas industry.
“In every operational and business activity, we always place safety as the most important aspect and the main foundation. We believe that excellent safety performance will support both the success and sustainability of the Company’s oil and gas operations and business,” he said.
PHI Regional 3 Kalimantan remains committed to supporting the realization of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia’s Asta Cita, particularly energy self-sufficiency as an important foundation for economic growth and public welfare. The Company also consistently applies best practices in the upstream oil and gas industry to maintain production levels from the oil and gas fields under its management.
