Bunyu, North Kalimantan – PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field started the process of drilling wells B-2118 and B-2221 in South Bunyu Village, Bunyu District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan, on January 10, 2023.
Bunyu Field Senior Manager Andri Sehang stated that the two wells are one of the company's programs in supporting the Indonesian government to meet national energy needs and achieve the target of 1 million barrels of oil per day and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas by 2030.
Furthermore, Andri explained that the company would continue to carry out new well-drilling activities as a strategic step to maintain oil and gas production levels. "The start of this well tajak activity is expected to help increase PEP Bunyu Field production by around 250 BOPD (Barrels of Oil Per Day). Currently, our oil production is 3354 BOPD," said Andri Sehang.
Andri believes and realizes the company's success in running safe, reliable, compliant, and environmentally friendly oil and gas operations with the support and assistance of all stakeholders.
