Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) achieved remarkable success by securing five prestigious awards at the IABC Indonesia Awards 2024, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators – Indonesia Chapter (IABC Indonesia). These awards recognize PHI's excellence in implementing innovative, inclusive, and impactful communication strategies that support the sustainability of the company's upstream oil and gas operations and contribute to national energy resilience.

The awards were presented during the IABC Indonesia Conference and Award 2024 held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, on December 13, 2024. The event, themed "PR Trends 2025: Purposeful Impact," highlighted organizations that build trust, inspire action, and create lasting relationships with stakeholders. Elvera N. Makki, President of IABC Indonesia, emphasized the importance of inclusive, transparent, and empathetic communication in ensuring that every message resonates deeply and drives meaningful change toward shared visions. She also stressed the role of technology in fostering communication innovation toward 2025.

Dony Indrawan, Manager of Communication Relations & CID at PHI, highlighted the pivotal role of Public Relations (PR) in advancing the company. He noted that the IABC Indonesia Awards 2024 validated PHI's dedication and performance in delivering forward-looking communication programs aligned with the values of the company, society, and stakeholders. "These awards demonstrate the significant contributions of Public Relations in shaping corporate policies, enhancing brand image, and creating shared value through innovative programs," he explained.

Regarding media relations, Dony affirmed that the mass media serves as one of PHI's strategic partners in public communication, providing support and feedback for the success of its oil and gas business operations. "The close cooperation and synergy between the company and the media contribute to the sustainability of national energy supply and Indonesia's economic growth. The company's award-winning media relations program, BASO IGA PHI, has positively impacted PHI's ability to share and discuss the progress of upstream oil and gas activities in Kalimantan," he added.

IABC is a nonprofit association for communication practitioners and professionals, including Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, and CSR. The awards are given to organizations demonstrating best practices in global-scale communication disciplines. This event provides professionals a platform to share experiences, expand networks, and enhance capacity through education.
