Balikpapan – In commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of PT Pertamina (Persero) and the 7th Anniversary of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), subsidiaries under the auspices of PHI held mass circumcisions simultaneously, which carries out in several working areas of PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT). namely in Balikpapan, Lawe-Lawe Terminal, Santan Terminal, PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Tarakan Field and PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Bunyu Field. 

As a manifestation of concern and commitment to the community around the operational area, on this occasion, a free mass circumcision was held for 342 children on December 17 - 18, 2022. 

Each entity cooperates with local hospitals or clinics to implement this mass circumcision. BDI PEP Bunyu Field collaborates with the Bunyu Island Polyclinic, and PEP Tarakan Field collaborates with BDI PEP Tarakan Field and Pertamedika Tarakan Hospital.

Meanwhile, mass circumcision was carried out at Ibnu Sina Balikpapan Hospital in collaboration with the Islamic Da'wah Agency (BDI) PHKT Balikpapan, at Lawe-Lawe Terminal in collaboration between BDI PHKT and Puskesmas Petung, Penajam Paser Utara Regency (PPU), at Santan Terminal in collaboration between BDI PHKT and the Christian Coordination Agency (BAKOR UMKRIS) with the Marangkayu Health Center, Kutai Kertanegara Regency.

Marangkayu Sub-District, Kutai Kartanegara, Rekson Simanjuntak, highly appreciates the company's contribution to establishing cooperation with the community in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. "I fully support Pertamina's social activities and all parties who contributed to the success of this event," Rekson said.

As a management representative, Lawe-Lawe Terminal Superintendent Production, Hendra Murdani, also appreciated all parties so that this event could be held properly and benefit the community around the company's operations. 

"Please pray from all workers and the surrounding community that we are all always given salvation by God Almighty and paved and facilitated the way for increased production. Hopefully, Pertamina can be a good neighbor and concern for the communities around this operating area can benefit and make us able to develop together." Hendra added. 

The Head of BDI PHKT Balikpapan, Didit Kurniawan, also expressed his appreciation to all participating parties so that this mass circumcision could be carried out correctly and smoothly. Where the activities had been delayed, PHKT could carry out this activity again after the COVID-19 pandemic.
